The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Arkadiusz Piatek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mano Hume made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Gabon in the 3rd minute of play. The corner ended in Everardo Cordarell almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Utopía Muerta FC's Mano Hume did a great save. After 7 minutes of play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mano Hume was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bonifacio Suarez made in the 10th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Elpidio Francis however managed to control. Mano Hume showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Francis in the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Utopía Muerta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Gabon came free, but Mano Hume reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arkadiusz Piatek struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Branislav Velchevski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Utopía Muerta FC. Bonifacio Suarez hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. The audience cheered loudly when Fermin Martinez's long shot in the 38th minute became 1-1 when the ball went to the left of and passed Branislav Velchevski. 42 minutes into the match, Utopía Muerta FC's Arkadiusz Piatek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Branislav Velchevski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Attilio Brunelli kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arkadiusz Piatek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Radoslaw Klocko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Branislav Velchevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Hibai in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute Braulio Hibai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mano Hume stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of André Monclús's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. The Utopía Muerta FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's performance. The match ended with a win for ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA.
