The audience thought a goal was coming when Tom Misaki got free with Atahan Balon in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Los Muchachos del 86's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gavril Bosioc was slow to take the kick. During this time C.A.Independiente's players had a chance to rest. Beto Márcico's late challenge caught a C.A.Independiente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Buford Lim made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Asiz Soon sent off a good shot on target. Atahan Balon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tom Misaki's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Heigo Luiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atahan Balon having to interfere. Los Muchachos del 86 made a substitution.
