The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Lino Rios made a precise shot to the right of Branislav Velchevski. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 7 minutes into the match, Lino Rios notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski. Branislav Velchevski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 13 minutes into the game, AFC FUSION's Lino Rios nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Branislav Velchevski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Elpidio Francis took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Roberto Eztebe to make any attempt to save it. Gabriel Erramun got a throw-in 18 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Olle Snell. 21 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Rios came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 24 minutes, Germano Bettencourt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC FUSION's supporters crossed their fingers, but Germano Bettencourt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Lino Rios's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Branislav Velchevski was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Branislav Velchevski was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lino Rios showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-7 in the 54 minute of play. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA made a substitution. André Monclús replaced Elpidio Francis. AFC FUSION were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dawid Beckham took the corner. The corner led AFC FUSION's Dawid Beckham to fire away a dangerous shot which Branislav Velchevski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting a goal against them. AFC FUSION were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dawid Beckham took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalie and right to Germano Bettencourt. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 66 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lino Rios. When Olle Snell came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olle Snell couldn't finish the play. Arnoldo Cordero kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. If Aureliano Karlo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Branislav Velchevski was a little too slow when Aureliano Karlo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 2-8. After a rather tough play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Arnoldo Cordero got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Esteban Iztal kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched AFC FUSION eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
