Rene Aires started the match with the kick off. Walmir Catarinense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elpidio Francis in the 3rd minute. Branislav Velchevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Aires in the 4th minute of play. After 6 played minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Cordero. 10 minutes into the game, Rene Aires cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Branislav Velchevski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Loco De Remate's attentive Baškim Sumulikovski managed to snatch the ball when Arnoldo Cordero made a throw-in in the 15th minute of the game. Rene Aires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Loco De Remate's Walmir Catarinense got control of the ball when Arnaldo Gabon tried to sneak it across the goal line. The throw-in from Fabian Raphael in the 21st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Arnoldo Cordero. In the 22nd minute, Elpidio Francis made a precise shot to the right of Walmir Catarinense. Loco De Remate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 24th match minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Francis to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, Loco De Remate's Rene Aires sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Branislav Velchevski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Loco De Remate's Fabian Raphael quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Arnoldo Cordero, made in the 29th minute of the game. 32 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Aires came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Elpidio Francis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Walmir Catarinense was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 41st minute Godfredo Luix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA defense, Bruno Medero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Branislav Velchevski. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Branislav Velchevski should have stopped the shot. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elpidio Francis to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Elpidio Francis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmir Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Arnoldo Cordero threw the ball into play from the sideline. Loco De Remate's Jerrold Barzana quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús was substituted for Elpidio Francis. After having played for 59 minutes, Rene Aires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loco De Remate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Aires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, André Monclús notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Loco De Remate's Walmir Catarinense. Walmir Catarinense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Loco De Remate's Feliciano Iratxo was substituted for Baškim Sumulikovski. A collision led to ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Arnoldo Cordero hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Loco De Remate's Rene Aires slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Branislav Velchevski. That made the score 3-3 after 72 minutes of play. Loco De Remate's Delmar Chumo was substituted for Bruno Medero. Loco De Remate made a substitution. Hıdır Namal replaced Rene Aires. 77 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hıdır Namal. Walmir Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Dalmu in the 78th minute of play. After 79 played minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Cordero. With a little luck, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski got control of the ball when Hıdır Namal tried to sneak it across the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Delmar Chumo came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hıdır Namal in the 90th minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Loco De Remate's Delmar Chumo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-4. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Loco De Remate had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
