The audience thought a goal was coming when Aureliano Karlo got free with Buford Lim in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's goal looked a bit too open when Jaroslaw Psikuta came free, but Roberto Eztebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aureliano Karlo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Buford Lim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Aureliano Karlo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Buford Lim to make any attempt to save it. AFC FUSION's Christoff Stocks was substituted for Jan Hop. After 33 played minutes AFC FUSION got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Abilio. Buford Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliano Karlo in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Heigo Luiga in the 52nd minute of play forced AFC FUSION's goalkeeper Roberto Eztebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Aureliano Karlo came free, but Buford Lim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aureliano Karlo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Buford Lim having to interfere. After a rather tough play, C.A.Independiente's Fabian Ipar got a free kick in the 73rd minute. A collision led to C.A.Independiente getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Lino Rios managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC FUSION's supporters rose to their feet, but Lino Rios was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Buford Lim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. AFC FUSION had won after a very even match.
