Luis Andino's late challenge caught a Clube do Remo MZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luis Andino helped the player get up and apologised. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After having played for 23 minutes, Tiaguinho Mandrak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube do Remo MZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiaguinho Mandrak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagoberto Sandoval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagoberto Sandoval in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Clube do Remo MZ's Tiaguinho Mandrak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 30th minute of the match, Baal Grunberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Wachirapong Wattanachinda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baal Grunberg got free with Julio Vera in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
