Santiago Abreu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mauro Cunha came out and tried to block the shot, but Santiago Abreu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Castelo Branco in the 6th minute of play forced Celestiales's goalkeeper Iker Madrid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florin Simuţ could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Mauro Cunha made a huge save. In the 16th minute, Jiang Sha fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 23 minutes into the game, Sabadim Harammes PRD's Eder Lopes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iker Madrid made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The supporters of Celestiales booed when Sabadim Harammes PRD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sten Pååk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jiang Sha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauro Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Santiago Abreu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Mauro Cunha made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Abreu in the 36th minute of play forced Sabadim Harammes PRD's goalkeeper Mauro Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauro Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jiang Sha in the 37th minute of play. Santiago Abreu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mauro Cunha having to make a save. Thanks to some nice moves Santiago Abreu could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Mauro Cunha however easily saved by the left post. Iker Madrid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionel Bălăiță in the 46th minute of the match. Mauro Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Abreu in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eder Lopes made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jiang Sha in the 53rd minute of play forced Sabadim Harammes PRD's goalkeeper Mauro Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Diegues made in the 57th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Bento Candal immediately put the ball in play. Mariano Bladi kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Mauro Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jiang Sha in the 61st minute of play. Celestiales's Rigoberto Botello was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mauro Cunha in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 65thth minute of the game Santiago Abreu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sabadim Harammes PRD's Mauro Cunha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Santiago Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celestiales's supporters rose to their feet, but Santiago Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauro Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iker Madrid made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ionel Bălăiță in the 73rd minute. The supporters of Celestiales booed when Sabadim Harammes PRD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Castelo Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sabadim Harammes PRD's Mauro Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Eudoxio in the 75th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Celestiales's goal looked a bit too open when Ionel Bălăiță came free, but Iker Madrid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eustaquio Eudoxio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauro Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Mauro Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Eudoxio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sabadim Harammes PRD's Mauro Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jiang Sha in the 90th minute of play. The Sabadim Harammes PRD supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sabadim Harammes PRD would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
