Karlus Waugh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixten Ek having to interfere. With a little luck, Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson got control of the ball when Karl-Johan Sundén tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Pelle Klintæus could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Demonde Jacobson however easily saved by the left post. Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tord Jansson in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Pelle Klintæus reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Demonde Jacobson. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 28th minute Tord Jansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demonde Jacobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Johan Sundén. After 32 played minutes Jamaica got a freekick which was hit by Romon Oliver. After 33 played minutes Niclas Strömberg rounded Jamaica's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. Tord Jansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Demonde Jacobson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Niclas Strömberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Demonde Jacobson, 4-0. In the 47th play minute Pelle Klintæus came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Demonde Jacobson. 6-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
