Demonde Jacobson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. In the 41st minute, Geovânio Proença left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caxinha F. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. After having played for 44 minutes, Matías Tepedino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caxinha F. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Matías Tepedino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geovânio Proença succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 8-0 in the 45th playminute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
