Franco Dionisi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skövde AIK. A collision led to Nimrod Tel Babil getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Castel Vardeci hit a great ball. Ronnie Hellström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torbjörn Wallgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kevin Keegan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Franco Dionisi came out and tried to block the shot, but Kevin Keegan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. Primeiro Preciado charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Primeiro Preciado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Primeiro Preciado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franco Dionisi was a little too slow when Kevin Keegan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 2-0. Nimrod Tel Babil made a substitution. Juvenal Labra replaced Torbjörn Wallgren. Franco Dionisi had great luck who in the 26thth minute grab hold of the ball when Kevin Keegan from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Nimrod Tel Babil's Franco Dionisi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Keegan in the 32nd minute of play. Franco Dionisi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chen Ao Fan in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the game when Fertus Quintero tried to clear up in front of the goal it happened that the ball rolled into goal via right pole. An extremely disappointing self made goal which led to 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Kevin Keegan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Franco Dionisi. That made the score 4-0 in the 41 minute of play. A collision led to Skövde AIK getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Hans Petersson hit a great ball. Skövde AIK's Ronnie Hellström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nassos Kezdoglou in the 48th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Skövde AIK's Egídio Fernandez seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Egídio Fernandez the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Skövde AIK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Egídio Fernandez had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 48th minute, one of Skövde AIK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Skövde AIK. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Franco Dionisi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chen Ao Fan in the 61st minute of the match. In the 61st match minute, Nimrod Tel Babil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cordarrell Faria to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Skövde AIK booed when Nimrod Tel Babil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fertus Quintero didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 played minutes Nimrod Tel Babil got a freekick which was hit by Fertus Quintero. If Chen Ao Fan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chen Ao Fan's late challenge caught a Nimrod Tel Babil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chen Ao Fan helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan got a free kick in the 86th minute. After 87 played minutes Skövde AIK got a freekick which was hit by Chen Ao Fan. Franco Dionisi came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan. But to his dismay, Chen Ao Fan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Kevin Keegan might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Franco Dionisi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kevin Keegan ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Skövde AIK booed when Nimrod Tel Babil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nassos Kezdoglou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franco Dionisi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Keegan in the 99th minute of the match. Skövde AIK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
