Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Joel Gaona took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kjell Åkesson got free with Dante Lacasa in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 9th minute of play forced JKs Talanger's goalkeeper Walter Wallander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute Kjell Åkesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Mexico booed when JKs Talanger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihăiţă Vâtcu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in JKs Talanger's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walter Wallander came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kjell Åkesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Macos Graciani kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, JKs Talanger's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Walter Wallander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walter Wallander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After taking down the ball on JKs Talanger's corner Ali Berkant Mukremin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjell Åkesson in the 51st minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. JKs Talanger made a substitution. Kent Möller replaced Gunther Zapf. In the 60th minute, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. JKs Talanger's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Joel Gaona scored to the left of an out of position Walter Wallander, making the score, 1-2. 71 minutes into the match, JKs Talanger's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Walter Wallander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Octavian Basten made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octavian Basten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by JKs Talanger's Octavian Basten. But to his dismay, Octavian Basten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 83rd minute Kjell Åkesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Mexico's Joel Gaona dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-3. Walter Wallander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 92nd minute of play. Walter Wallander made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Mexico were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
