All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Dinu Oardă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Quiroga in the 52nd minute of the match. Dinu Oardă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gines Hubieta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Monitor Huáscar's Apostol Sokolov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Monitor Huáscar from getting a goal against them. The supporters of MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV booed when Monitor Huáscar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gines Hubieta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Monitor Huáscar made a substitution. Nazario Arechavala replaced Johnny Nyström. Gines Hubieta hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 79thth minute of the game Claudio Quiroga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Dinu Oardă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Florin Ciorobîtcă hit a great ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Claudio Quiroga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monitor Huáscar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Quiroga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
