Abel Bueno was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Bueno having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Miki Jungslund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Miki Jungslund tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 15 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Miki Jungslund who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Miki Jungslund got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 23 minutes into the match, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Abel Bueno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Abel Bueno quite easily take care of the ball. In the 25th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A very nice done corner allowed Juan Sebastián Puig to score against Abel Bueno in Qikiqtarjuaq FC's goal. 0-2 after 26 minutes. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Abel Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. After 43 played minutes Qikiqtarjuaq FC got a freekick which was hit by Caio da Rocha. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Daron Keen was substituted for Wilber Leon. After having played for 47 minutes, Caio da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caio da Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Caio da Rocha was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Ilgaz Şirvan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Caio da Rocha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Abel Bueno however easily saved by the left post. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caio da Rocha in the 74th minute of play. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Abel Bueno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Qikiqtarjuaq FC from getting a goal against them. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Joshua Keys was substituted for Ilgaz Şirvan. In the 89th minute of the match, Cristian Sancho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Abel Bueno saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 91 played minutes Qikiqtarjuaq FC got a freekick which was hit by Chong Sheppard. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Bueno having to interfere. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
