Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Damaso Playo kicked off to start the match. 7 minutes into the game, Fidel Pietro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Demonde Jacobson. Fidel Pietro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damaso Playo in the 11th minute of play forced Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Vélez Juniors getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Anacleto Eztebe hit a great ball. Constantino Manny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karlus Waugh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 18th play minutes Damaso Playo shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Demonde Jacobson and just under the crossbar into goal. When Romon Oliver fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jamaica's protests and gave Romon Oliver a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes Jamaica got a freekick which was hit by Romon Oliver. The supporters of Vélez Juniors booed when Jamaica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Finlay Stair didn't get a good kick on the ball.

With a little luck, Vélez Juniors's Constantino Manny got control of the ball when Romon Oliver tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emilio Serafo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Demonde Jacobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amancio Godoy in the 80th minute of the match. Fidel Pietro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Fidel Pietro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Demonde Jacobson. Jamaica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fidel Pietro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Damaso Playo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Demonde Jacobson having to make a save. When Romon Oliver was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. In the 93rd match minute, Jamaica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romon Oliver to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Vélez Juniors booed when Jamaica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Finlay Stair didn't get a good kick on the ball.
