The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A throw-in in the 4th minute of the game was made by Virgílio Cunha with Gerson Lopez as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Indiana Jones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Noel Seide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernso Constant's late challenge caught a Matanza and Steelers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernso Constant helped the player get up and apologised. Ernso Constant kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Indiana Jones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Seide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Indiana Jones's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Noel Seide skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gerson Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Seide having to interfere. Noel Seide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Indiana Jones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Indiana Jones notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Haiti's Noel Seide. Noel Seide was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Noel Seide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aílton Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The supporters of Matanza and Steelers booed when Haiti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean Marie Alcius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matías Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Alphonse in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonathan Alphonse was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Haiti's Jonathan Alphonse ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Matías Quirino. Matías Quirino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. In the 58th minute Virgílio Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Seide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernso Constant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noel Seide stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adelino Leme's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Saint Jean Pierre lost his temper 72 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 72 minutes into the game, one of Haiti:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Matanza and Steelers a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Virgílio Cunha, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Haiti's Noel Seide. 3-2. Noel Seide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Indiana Jones in the 85th minute of play. Teodoro Gonçalves made in the 88th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Senad Or immediately put the ball in play. Adelino Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Noel Seide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Matanza and Steelers were the better team. Matanza and Steelers's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
