Victor Erauso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 8th minute of play. In the 12thth minute of the game Aytuğ Aral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Co Bayo in the 14th minute. In the 19th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Erauso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Erauso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 25th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Alijilán returns's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Victor Erauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Victor Erauso. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Victor Erauso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. The Alijilán returns players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Victor Erauso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 52nd minute. In the 59th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Victor Erauso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 61 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Co Bayo came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cyprian Sroki in the 73rd minute of the match. The supporters of Mexico booed when Alijilán returns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyprian Sroki didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Alijilán returns's Aytuğ Aral in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 89 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. After 91 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cipriano Tavio who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Cipriano Tavio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dante Lacasa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Mexico booed when Alijilán returns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Azubeli didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Mexico's Joel Gaona tried to score from far away in the 94th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Aytuğ Aral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
