Jordi Carces made in the 37th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Martino Armona. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Carlo Darrigrande came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Paul Ramon could save by the left post. Lorencio Irarrázaval hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Jordi Carces hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Peru supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chile's performance. The match ended with a win for Chile.
