It was a well-played corner which Humberto Egoi managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Flávio de Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alvaro Calvino's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Pedrão Pereira struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Feliciano Horado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Landulfos FC. In the 17th minute Dalmacio Olivar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Düsseldorf FC fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Düsseldorf FC's Alvaro Calvino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 28th minute Teofilo Salomon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrea Napoleone received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Feliciano Horado came out and tried to block the shot, but Andrea Napoleone slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Düsseldorf FC's zone, Andrea Napoleone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feliciano Horado came out of the goal and Andrea Napoleone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flávio de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Salomon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 42 minutes, Andrea Napoleone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Landulfos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrea Napoleone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Düsseldorf FC's Feliciano Horado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Düsseldorf FC from getting a goal against them. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Without hesitation aimed to the right of Flávio de Azevedo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teofilo Salomon got free with Flávio de Azevedo in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emílio Maciel kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Andrea Napoleone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliciano Horado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Egoi scored 1-4 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flávio de Azevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 91 minutes into the match, Landulfos FC's goalkeeper Flávio de Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teofilo Salomon. Teofilo Salomons short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Flávio de Azevedo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Düsseldorf FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
