Camilo Freixa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Recai Garipbaş managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alvinegro de Tupã's supporters rose to their feet, but Recai Garipbaş was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camilo Freixa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Alvinegro de Tupã's Recai Garipbaş in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 21st minute, Åke Hellström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camilo Freixa was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Alejandro Villa tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Camilo Freixa. Alfonso de la Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 74th minute, Aníbal Leal made a precise shot to the right of Camilo Freixa. Bolivia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Recai Garipbaş in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Camilo Freixa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82nd minute Aníbal Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Freixa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
