Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Machado Santianes made the kick off and thus started the match. Toni Tagarov's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Yin Cheng Han firmly grabbed it by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Machado Santianes in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Bale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Di Kun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yin Cheng Han having to interfere. In the 14th minute Di Kun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yin Cheng Han saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Independiente del Río's goalkeeper Yin Cheng Han had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toni Tagarov. Machado Santianes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Bale having to interfere. Di Kun took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yin Cheng Han. Yin Cheng Han dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Di Kun in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yin Cheng Han saved Independiente del Río from getting behind. 30 minutes into the game, Fabian Baldaliso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Christian Bale was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Christian Bale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Machado Santianes, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 34 minutes, Stefan Ludwiczak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Botev Plovdiv 1912 and the Independiente del Río players grew even worse after the yellow card. Stefan Ludwiczak hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Emanuel Sueiro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Botev Plovdiv 1912's Christian Bale didn't even have to move. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Botev Plovdiv 1912:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Independiente del Río:s goal. Christian Bale had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Michael Ayon's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Di Kun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Christian Bale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Machado Santianes, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Botev Plovdiv 1912's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emanuel Sueiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Independiente del Río's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Independiente del Río's corner Emanuel Sueiro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Christian Bale quite easily take care of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Independiente del Río's zone, Di Kun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yin Cheng Han came out of the goal and Di Kun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Machado Santianes in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Bale saved Botev Plovdiv 1912 from getting behind. After having played for 77 minutes, Toni Tagarov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botev Plovdiv 1912's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toni Tagarov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Independiente del Río's Charles De Ketelaere was substituted for Emanuel Sueiro. 80 minutes into the match, Di Kun notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Independiente del Río's Yin Cheng Han. Yin Cheng Han was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Toni Tagarov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yin Cheng Han having to interfere. When Di Kun fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Botev Plovdiv 1912's protests and gave Di Kun a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th match minute, Botev Plovdiv 1912 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Di Kun to maneuver through the defense.
