Bruno Barrett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timoteo Conrao's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Timoteo Conrao got free with Bruno Barrett in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Timoteo Conrao was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Romeo Bemabe managed to get in a good position for a shot. The audience was convinced that Timoteo Conrao's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno Barrett was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timoteo Conrao in the 92nd minute of the match. Boca Juniors's Jaime Herensuge proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Boca Juniors from getting a goal against them. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Boca Juniors fully deserved thier win.
