Ukraine's Vitaliy Vischak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikola Vlašić in the 31st minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Igor Milko was the one to do the kick off. Joško Poklepović's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vitaliy Vischak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Nikola Haramina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute, Croatia's Joško Poklepović ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vitaliy Vischak. Vitaliy Vischak yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Vitaliy Vischak made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Joško Poklepović sent off a good shot on target. Vitaliy Vischak was out of position in the 97 minute of play, and Joško Poklepović capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joško Poklepović really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Croatia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
