The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Tito Marrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Puerto de Sagunto CF's Telesforo De Paula slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bruno Barrett. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telesforo De Paula, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Ekaitz Jorquera charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ekaitz Jorquera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Puerto de Sagunto CF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Curacao:s goal. The referee gave Curacao a penalty, 13 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kyle Davies, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Puerto de Sagunto CF's Garaona Camino. 1-1. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telesforo De Paula in the 19th minute of play. Joachim Zaplana didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-1 via right post in the game's 20th minute. Puerto de Sagunto CF's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Bruno Barrett was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Telesforo De Paula capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Telesforo De Paula really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Joachim Zaplana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruno Barrett didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Puerto de Sagunto CF's Telesforo De Paula shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-1 in the ordered_time% minute. If Telesforo De Paula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Puerto de Sagunto CF's Garaona Camino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Davies in the 45th minute of play. Telesforo De Paula had several of the Curacao's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 46 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 5-1 score and a disappointed Bruno Barrett as he didn't even see the shot coming. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Telesforo De Paula stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Stanley Wallace sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the game, Puerto de Sagunto CF's Nevada Uria nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Barrett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. 60 minutes into the match, Puerto de Sagunto CF's Maximiano Caballero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruno Barrett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Joachim Zaplana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Telesforo De Paula's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno Barrett was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Maximiano Caballero struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Bruno Barrett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Puerto de Sagunto CF. Bruno Barrett came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Puerto de Sagunto CF's Telesforo De Paula. But to his dismay, Telesforo De Paula quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. Kyle Davies sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Telesforo De Paula in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Barrett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joachim Zaplana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Bruno Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zahar Ucero charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zahar Ucero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telesforo De Paula in the 85th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Harvey Doyle fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curacao's protests and gave Harvey Doyle a yellow card for diving instead. Harvey Doyle hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telesforo De Paula in the 94th minute of the match. Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telesforo De Paula, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Puerto de Sagunto CF had played much better football throughout.
