After a defensive mix-up in Haiti's zone, Ciro Fortun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noel Seide came out of the goal and Ciro Fortun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Haiti's Noel Seide proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Haiti from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

It was beautiful to see Nueva Lepra FC's Joaquin Cuartio in action when he in the 77th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 79 minutes into the match, Haiti's goal looked a bit too open when Venancio Mergildo came free, but Noel Seide reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Nueva Lepra FC fully deserved thier win.
