With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jude Monkhouse in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dacian Nițescu saved AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC from getting behind. 28 minutes into the match, Don Cabezon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Augusto Quintal. Várzea F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Don Cabezon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Ardy Pakubuwono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute Jude Monkhouse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Nițescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC booed when Várzea F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmiro Licerio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Jude Monkhouse made the kick off in the second half. AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Don Cabezon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Don Cabezon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Augusto Quintal having to make a save. 64 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Don Cabezon came free, but Carlos Augusto Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dacian Nițescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jude Monkhouse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Don Cabezon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Augusto Quintal having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Don Cabezon in the 72nd minute of play forced Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Quintal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Dewa Warauw in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Várzea F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal.

The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Várzea F.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
