Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kyle Davies started the match with the kick off. When Wilton Coutinho fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estrela Solitária's protests and gave Wilton Coutinho a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Curacao defense, Luís Fernando Proença kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Barrett. The Curacao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Barrett should have stopped the shot. Mário Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Davies, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Luís Fernando Proença recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Stanley Wallace's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mário Quirino was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. After 29 played minutes Curacao got a freekick which was hit by Bertie Johnson. Luís Fernando Proença could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Bruno Barrett made a huge save. Luís Fernando Proença who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Bruno Barrett when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Fernando Proença stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luís Fernando Proença scored 2-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Barrett, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 56 minutes into the match, Teodoro Meirelles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Barrett. Fernandão Queirós charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernandão Queirós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fernandão Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of Curacao booed when Estrela Solitária was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belmiro Leal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stanley Wallace struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Mário Quirino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curacao. Bertie Johnson kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Fernando Proença in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Barrett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Teodoro Meirelles fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estrela Solitária's protests and gave Teodoro Meirelles a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Estrela Solitária getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Teodoro Meirelles hit a great ball. Mário Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle Davies, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Estrela Solitária had won after a very even match.
