The Wesselbend fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Wesselbend's Benard Ngamta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Wesselbend were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after SK8 4 lif3's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jonáš Baroš took the corner. 14 minutes into the match, Wesselbend's goal looked a bit too open when Gino Norbert came free, but Jurgen Goris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dick Ros in the 16th minute of play forced Wesselbend's goalkeeper Jurgen Goris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jurgen Goris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dick Ros in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute Dick Ros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jurgen Goris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jurgen Goris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gino Norbert, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Everardo Huguet in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of János Gerencsér, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice moves Everardo Huguet could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which János Gerencsér however easily saved by the left post. János Gerencsér took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Van Hemel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Wesselbend's Mario Van den Plas got a free kick in the 41st minute. Jurgen Goris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dick Ros, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 44th minute, Mario Van den Plas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wesselbend's goalkeeper Jurgen Goris, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dick Ros made a kick off. If Benard Ngamta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jurgen Goris made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Dick Ros sent off a good shot on target. If Sidney Aupry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Jonáš Baroš got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Everardo Huguet hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Dan Van Hemel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. János Gerencsér stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Everardo Huguet's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. SK8 4 lif3's Antony Ferrant was substituted for Gino Norbert. SK8 4 lif3 made a substitution. Jesus Mattson replaced Foster Howe. In the 77th minute, Mario Van den Plas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jurgen Goris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manga Joó in the 80th minute of the match. Dan Van Hemel took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised János Gerencsér. János Gerencsér dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The supporters of Wesselbend booed when SK8 4 lif3 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Trezeguet didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute Manga Joó shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jurgen Goris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Wesselbend fully deserved thier win.
