In the 7th minute, Melik İksir left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fenerbahçe SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Fabricio Nuñez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hafız Safa, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Fabricio Nuñez came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Fenerbahçe SK's Hafız Safa. But to his dismay, Hafız Safa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Melik İksir in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabricio Nuñez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fenerbahçe SK's Eyüp Oğuralp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Fenerbahçe SK from getting a goal against them. Hafız Safa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Fabricio Nuñez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melik İksir in the 29th minute of play forced Carnerillo's goalkeeper Fabricio Nuñez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabricio Nuñez came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Fenerbahçe SK's Melik İksir. But to his dismay, Melik İksir quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Desiderio Ezkerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Eyüp Oğuralp made a huge save. 37 minutes into the match, Carnerillo's goal looked a bit too open when Hafız Safa came free, but Fabricio Nuñez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hafız Safa scored 0-4 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabricio Nuñez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Fenerbahçe SK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carnerillo:s goal. The goalkeeper, Eyüp Oğuralp, was totally fooled by Carnerillo's Marcos Piarres, who 46 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The Carnerillo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fenerbahçe SK were winning 1-4.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hafız Safa in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabricio Nuñez saved Carnerillo from getting behind. If Melik İksir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Hafız Safa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabricio Nuñez. Carnerillo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hafız Safa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. After some careless play in the Fenerbahçe SK defense, Camilo Gelacio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eyüp Oğuralp. The Fenerbahçe SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eyüp Oğuralp should have stopped the shot. Fabricio Nuñez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hafız Safa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-6 in the 76 minute of play. Fabricio Nuñez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hafız Safa in the 85th minute of play. After 87 minutes, Aytekin Ula mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fenerbahçe SK and the Carnerillo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Desiderio Ezkerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carnerillo's supporters rose to their feet, but Desiderio Ezkerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eyüp Oğuralp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
