After 20 minutes, Rui Horta made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Fenerbahçe SK's Eyüp Oğuralp tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Fenerbahçe SK getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Gökhun Dölek hit a great ball. Eyüp Oğuralp came out of the goal and Albérico Jordão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Pilar FC fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Pilar FC's Rui Horta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Pilar FC played a much better game than Fenerbahçe SK and deserved their victory. The Fenerbahçe SK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
