If Abay Vedat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 5th minute Abay Vedat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Günther Heine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Lasse Backhaus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Günther Heine made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Sezgin Arslanşah sent off a good shot on target. Radolf Trumpf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Hıdır Taykara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18thth minute of the game Friedemann Faber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fenerbahçe's Hıdır Taykara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th match minute, Fenerbahçe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Behlül Uçbay to maneuver through the defense. Sezgin Arslanşah's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Günther Heine skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ali Atıf Polathan charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ali Atıf Polathan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 32 played minutes Fenerbahçe got a freekick which was hit by Ali Atıf Polathan. After 38 played minutes FC Oberbillig got a freekick which was hit by Kersten Warschau. Friedemann Faber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nazım Ungan during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fenerbahçe fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! In the 46th minute there was a penalty for FC Oberbillig. Lars Oliver Pajewski stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hıdır Taykara. 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abay Vedat made a kick off. Fenerbahçe's Hıdır Taykara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Fenerbahçe from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 60 in the game by Friedemann Faber from a close distance when the talented Hıdır Taykara managed to make a qualified save. Fenerbahçe's players were relieved. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Oberbillig's goalkeeper Günther Heine, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Radolf Trumpf's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hıdır Taykara was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Neşat Öktürk's late challenge caught a FC Oberbillig's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Neşat Öktürk helped the player get up and apologised. Neşat Öktürk hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After 90 played minutes Fenerbahçe got a freekick which was hit by Behlül Uçbay. With a little luck, Fenerbahçe's Hıdır Taykara got control of the ball when Friedemann Faber tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Oberbillig's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
