In the 18th minute, Derviş Hazar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Călin Pamfil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Călin Pamfil in the 41st minute of play forced Sulakyurt FK's goalkeeper Atilla Tarkan Akın to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mehmet Hakkı Onuker kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sulakyurt FK's Fadıl Kaptan got a free kick in the 47th minute. The U Craiova players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sulakyurt FK were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cevher Akkılıç made a kick off. When the match had been going on for 56 minutes, Sulakyurt FK's Tacettin Ergenç got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Juan Sendoa. 59 minutes into the game, one of U Craiova:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Juan Sendoa, was totally fooled by Sulakyurt FK's Tacettin Ergenç, who 62 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a rather tough play, Sulakyurt FK's Fadıl Kaptan got a free kick in the 65th minute. If Romeo Crețulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Sulakyurt FK fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Sulakyurt FK's Cevher Akkılıç looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Recai Memduh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Sendoa having to interfere. Atilla Tarkan Akın made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Călin Pamfil in the 76th minute of play. Juan Sendoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cevher Akkılıç, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. If Dorin Cârstoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sulakyurt FK's Atilla Tarkan Akın played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Crețulescu in the 88th minute of play. U Craiova's Ştefan Stârcea collided with an opponent after 89 minutes. The hit was so violent that he fractured his nose and had to leave the field. U Craiova's Sebastian Fenici was substituted for Ştefan Stârcea. In the 90th match minute, Sulakyurt FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Derviş Hazar to maneuver through the defense. Romeo Crețulescu scored 1-5 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Atilla Tarkan Akın, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Sulakyurt FK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
