The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A very good chance for a goal. 8 minutes into the game, CórdovaFC's Gustavo Xandri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabricio Nuñez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 16th minute Ivan Olo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Bonjoch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Zamora Grado fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CórdovaFC's protests and gave Zamora Grado a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, CórdovaFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zamora Grado to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Carnerillo defense, Xandro Carlos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabricio Nuñez. The Carnerillo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabricio Nuñez should have stopped the shot. Fabricio Nuñez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xandro Carlos in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Peio in the 42nd minute of play forced CórdovaFC's goalkeeper Manuel Bonjoch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carnerillo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Flavio Comillas scored to the left of an out of position Fabricio Nuñez, making the score, 0-4. In the 81st minute, Xandro Carlos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CórdovaFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Xurdin Villasinda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gustavo Xandri might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabricio Nuñez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustavo Xandri ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Carnerillo getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Braulio Quintyn hit a great ball. CórdovaFC's Jairón Sominaya shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 94th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fabricio Nuñez but with some difficulty. CórdovaFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
