Atilla Tarkan Akın came out of the goal and Ahmet Gündüz Karaoğlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ahmet Gündüz Karaoğlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Sulakyurt FK's İlyas Tolga Arısan got a free kick in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Meric's goal looked a bit too open when Recai Memduh came free, but Kürşat Üçer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute İlyas Tolga Arısan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kürşat Üçer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Meric booed when Sulakyurt FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tanju Rafetoğulları didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by İlyas Tolga Arısan in the 34th minute of play forced Meric's goalkeeper Kürşat Üçer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Çetin Necip came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Meric fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Çetin Necip couldn't finish the play. 41 minutes into the match, Sulakyurt FK's goal looked a bit too open when İlbey Tokhan came free, but Atilla Tarkan Akın reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tanju Rafetoğulları hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. İlbey Tokhan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Atilla Tarkan Akın read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. When Cevher Akkılıç fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sulakyurt FK's protests and gave Cevher Akkılıç a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sulakyurt FK getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Cevher Akkılıç hit a great ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cevher Akkılıç to strike the kick off in the second half. Atilla Tarkan Akın took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İlbey Tokhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Meric's Kürşat Üçer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Meric from getting a goal against them. Sulakyurt FK's Atilla Tarkan Akın played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İlbey Tokhan in the 59th minute of play. After 67 minutes, İlbey Tokhan made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Sulakyurt FK's Atilla Tarkan Akın tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Ahmet Gündüz Karaoğlan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meric's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Gündüz Karaoğlan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atilla Tarkan Akın breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Meric were furious when Abdurrahim Ünalmış was red carded, 74 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. İlyas Tolga Arısan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Kürşat Üçer made a huge save. İlyas Tolga Arısan hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Recai Memduh charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Recai Memduh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sulakyurt FK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
