An unexpectedly hard shot by Hafız Safa in the 30th minute of play forced Pilar FC's goalkeeper Júlio Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Pilar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hafız Safa came free, but Júlio Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Ferit Yezid left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fenerbahçe SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Júlio Sampaio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ferit Yezid's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Ferit Yezid received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hafız Safa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Júlio Sampaio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Pilar FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Cristiano Balsemão hit a great ball. After 66 played minutes Pilar FC got a freekick which was hit by Homero Mota. 67 minutes into the match, Pilar FC's goalkeeper Júlio Sampaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hafız Safa. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albérico Barroso during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fenerbahçe SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pilar FC the free kick. The supporters of Pilar FC booed when Fenerbahçe SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gökhun Dölek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferit Yezid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute of the match Abay Sağcan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Júlio Sampaio skillfully saved the ball. Júlio Sampaio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hafız Safa went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. The Pilar FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Fenerbahçe SK's performance. The match ended with a win for Fenerbahçe SK.
