A collision led to Fenerbahçe getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Bilal Eröz hit a great ball. Vitório Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Cevat Özkent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cevat Özkent didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elói Ribeiro went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Cevat Özkent came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Palestina's Vitório Linhares. But to his dismay, Vitório Linhares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Palestina's Ezequiel do Valle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Palestina from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palestina's goalkeeper Ezequiel do Valle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Palestina's Ezequiel do Valle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Palestina from getting a goal against them. If Deniz Kuyas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Orhan İlcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel do Valle having to interfere. If Ali Orhan İlcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ezequiel do Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deniz Kuyas, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deniz Kuyas in the 48th minute of play forced Palestina's goalkeeper Ezequiel do Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Palestina were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ezequiel do Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Orhan İlcan, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Ali Orhan İlcan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ali Orhan İlcan in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ezequiel do Valle saved Palestina from getting behind. Ali Orhan İlcan took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ezequiel do Valle. Ezequiel do Valle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 59th match minute, Fenerbahçe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arkın Tayuk to maneuver through the defense. Víktor Meirelles hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Vitório Linhares struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Cevat Özkent didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palestina. Fenerbahçe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lefter Taşcan in the 70th minute. Lefter Taşcan made a great header on Fenerbahçe's corner, it was just that Palestina's Ezequiel do Valle managed to reach the ball for a save. Lefter Taşcan kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Deniz Kuyas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ezequiel do Valle having to make a save. When Vitório Linhares came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Palestina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitório Linhares couldn't finish the play. If Elói Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elói Ribeiro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 90th minute. Palestina's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Cevat Özkent showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elói Ribeiro in the 95th minute of the match. Palestina's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
