Miraflores's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Călin Pamfil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, U Craiova's Călin Pamfil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaston Semeno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When U Craiova's Horea Frumușanu in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Miraflores fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaston Semeno should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horea Frumușanu in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaston Semeno saved Miraflores from getting behind. 24 minutes into the game, Fermin Mambru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Miraflores's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U Craiova the free kick. In the 23rd minute, one of Miraflores:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Miraflores. In the 25th minute there was a penalty for U Craiova. Dorin Cârstoiu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gaston Semeno. 0-4. The supporters of Miraflores booed when U Craiova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorin Cârstoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the game, U Craiova's Sebastian Fenici nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gaston Semeno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Horea Frumușanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gaston Semeno. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Horea Frumușanu ran back to his position shaking his head. Ştefan Stârcea kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Laureano Tirso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Juan Sendoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Omar Criston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 47 minutes, Dorin Cârstoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U Craiova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorin Cârstoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Miraflores's Gaston Semeno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Călin Pamfil in the 51st minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Călin Pamfil dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gaston Semeno, 0-6. Sebastian Fenici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Gaston Semeno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Miraflores's goalkeeper Gaston Semeno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 64 minutes of play, U Craiova's Sebastian Fenici made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gaston Semeno was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 67th minute, Sebastian Fenici left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U Craiova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. The U Craiova fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when U Craiova's Horea Frumușanu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-9 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Miraflores's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Dorin Cârstoiu scored to the left of an out of position Gaston Semeno, making the score, 0-11. U Craiova's Juan Sendoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Criston in the 94th minute of play. U Craiova's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
