If Odir Bautista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 5th match minute, FC South Park was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sture Böcklund to maneuver through the defense. Raúl Quintanilla took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henning Lundhberg. Henning Lundhberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Isaac Carrillo kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Jan-Ove Hägglund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Paradorn Todor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Ove Hägglund came free, but Paradorn Todor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Gallegos in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Henning Lundhberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC South Park's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Raúl Quintanilla was slow to take the kick. During this time El Salvador's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on El Salvador's corner Raúl Quintanilla fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Henning Lundhberg quite easily take care of the ball. Paradorn Todor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Ove Hägglund in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Salvador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Johan Svanberg was slow to take the kick. During this time FC South Park's players had a chance to rest. 30 minutes into the match, FC South Park's goal looked a bit too open when Raúl Quintanilla came free, but Henning Lundhberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Raúl Quintanilla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henning Lundhberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 35 minutes into the match, FC South Park's goalkeeper Henning Lundhberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raúl Quintanilla. After some careless play in the FC South Park defense, Raúl Quintanilla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henning Lundhberg. The FC South Park fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henning Lundhberg should have stopped the shot. In the 38th minute Miguel Gallegos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henning Lundhberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 40 minutes, Sture Böcklund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC South Park's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sture Böcklund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jan-Ove Hägglund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raúl Quintanilla stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Henning Lundhberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raúl Quintanilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Raúl Quintanilla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henning Lundhberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raúl Quintanilla in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henning Lundhberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Henning Lundhberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Gallegos in the 67th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Gallegos in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henning Lundhberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 72 minutes into the match, Raúl Quintanilla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henning Lundhberg. FC South Park's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raúl Quintanilla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. El Salvador's João Mira was substituted for Raúl Quintanilla. FC South Park's Elliott Axelsson was substituted for Johan Svanberg. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC South Park's goalkeeper Henning Lundhberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lars-Erik Bagge kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Mira in the 78th minute of play forced FC South Park's goalkeeper Henning Lundhberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. El Salvador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Franklin Peña in the 79th minute. A nice corner shot did that Franklin Peña got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Henning Lundhberg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 80th minute João Mira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henning Lundhberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, El Salvador's Miguel Gallegos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henning Lundhberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. El Salvador's Paradorn Todor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elliott Axelsson in the 89th minute of play. El Salvador's Paradorn Todor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save El Salvador from getting a goal against them. 93 minutes into the match, Elliott Axelsson notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of El Salvador's Paradorn Todor. Paradorn Todor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Mira in the 96th minute of play forced FC South Park's goalkeeper Henning Lundhberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. El Salvador's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
