Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Dochko Rodev successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Matías Patrone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomáš Lamačka in the 8th minute of the match. Club Atletico Los Andes were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Los Delfines's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomáš Lamačka took the corner. After 12th play minutes Oliver Bierhoff shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Dochko Rodev and just under the crossbar into goal. Abdulhamit Beycan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kim Lekberg to strike the kick off in the second half. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Atletico Los Andes players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Los Delfines.
