With a left leg Freddy Mercurio saved Crottos Crotters F.C. from getting behind. Ciriaco Cordarrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Julio Ferman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Elija in the 12th minute of play. After 16 played minutes Crottos Crotters F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Cibran. Freddy Mercurio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciriaco Cordarrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Crottos Crotters F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ciriaco Cordarrell came free, but Freddy Mercurio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO FC's Ciriaco Cordarrell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Freddy Mercurio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Ciriaco Cordarrell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Freddy Mercurio. Crottos Crotters F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ciriaco Cordarrell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Freddy Mercurio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciriaco Cordarrell, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute Ciriaco Cordarrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Mercurio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ciriaco Cordarrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as SAN LORENZO FC's Roberto Monserrat slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Freddy Mercurio. That made the score 2-0 after 38 minutes of play. Freddy Mercurio made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Ciriaco Cordarrell sent off a good shot on target. Julio Ferman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeo Tino, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Ciriaco Cordarrell took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Freddy Mercurio to make any attempt to save it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aristides Phelipe made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benigno Elija came free, but Julio Ferman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 54 played minutes SAN LORENZO FC got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Matosas. 59 minutes into the match, Crottos Crotters F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ciriaco Cordarrell came free, but Freddy Mercurio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciriaco Cordarrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by Crottos Crotters F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcelo Michael was slow to take the kick. During this time SAN LORENZO FC's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Roberto Monserrat managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. SAN LORENZO FC's Robustiano Emeterio was substituted for Froilan Jatsu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Heredia in the 73rd minute of play forced Crottos Crotters F.C.'s goalkeeper Freddy Mercurio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SAN LORENZO FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Crottos Crotters F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
