Tiro Alarcon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Norberd Valentík made a huge save. Roland Záhoran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hector Septien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roland Záhoran in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th match minute, AFK Petržalka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juraj Poliovka to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol booed when AFK Petržalka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Girman didn't get a good kick on the ball. POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tiro Alarcon in the 15th minute. POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's Tiro Alarcon was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Norberd Valentík in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Herensuge Sobera made in the 19th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gustau Ageitos however managed to control. AFK Petržalka's Roland Záhoran got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jozef Humeník kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Norberd Valentík made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Čapo in the 24th minute of play. When Tiro Alarcon came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiro Alarcon couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute of the match AFK Petržalka got a corner. POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roland Záhoran ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on AFK Petržalka's corner Roland Záhoran fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hector Septien quite easily take care of the ball. If Tiro Alarcon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, AFK Petržalka's Norberd Valentík got control of the ball when Tiro Alarcon tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiro Alarcon got free with Norberd Valentík in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half AFK Petržalka were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Matej Valentík made the kick off in the second half. Hector Septien stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roland Záhoran's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. 54 minutes into the match, POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Záhoran came free, but Hector Septien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's zone, Roland Záhoran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Septien came out of the goal and Roland Záhoran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Severo Čapo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberd Valentík having to interfere. After 71 minutes, Jozef Humeník mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFK Petržalka and the POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 71st minute, Jozef Humeník hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AFK Petržalka's Norberd Valentík played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severo Čapo in the 73rd minute of play. Ivan Girman kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Jozef Humeník was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 82nd minute, Jozef Humeník hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's Hector Septien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Záhoran in the 84th minute of play. In the 87th minute Fernando Payon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberd Valentík saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, AFK Petržalka's Zdeno Špaňo got a free kick in the 88th minute. Tiro Alarcon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matej Valentík fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Septien having to interfere.

The AFK Petržalka players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
