In the 2nd minute, Svetlozar Florov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 3rd minute of the match Angelo Mancini sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Genko Dankin skillfully saved the ball. After 14 minutes, Alfredo De Cesaris mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.C. Patagonia and the SPARROWS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th minute, Alfredo De Cesaris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grozdan Grozev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, Arturo Maldini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the game, Edoardo Paris cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Genko Dankin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. SPARROWS's Genko Dankin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Corrente in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, A.C. Patagonia's Bernardo Pio got a free kick in the 27th minute. Genko Dankin came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by A.C. Patagonia's Edoardo Paris. But to his dismay, Edoardo Paris quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Alfredo Corrente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Grozdan Grozev kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, SPARROWS's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Corrente came free, but Genko Dankin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valentin Gebrev struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Dennis Cala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SPARROWS. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Minko Búrnev made a kick off. A.C. Patagonia's Alfredo Corrente got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo De Cesaris could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Genko Dankin made a huge save. 57 minutes into the match, A.C. Patagonia's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Gebrev came free, but Dennis Cala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genko Dankin made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Edoardo Paris sent off a good shot on target. Yanaki Dimanov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alfredo De Cesaris hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. SPARROWS made a substitution. Naycho Strashilov replaced Delyan Kovanov. After a rather tough play, A.C. Patagonia's Alfredo De Cesaris got a free kick in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vesko Kanin in the 70th minute of play forced A.C. Patagonia's goalkeeper Dennis Cala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to A.C. Patagonia getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Edoardo Paris hit a great ball. If Valentin Gebrev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in A.C. Patagonia's zone, Valentin Gebrev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis Cala came out of the goal and Valentin Gebrev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 82 minutes, Alfredo De Cesaris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.C. Patagonia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo De Cesaris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dennis Cala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vesko Kanin in the 90th minute of the match. Dennis Cala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Minko Búrnev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Genko Dankin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Corrente, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The supporters of SPARROWS booed when A.C. Patagonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amedeo Baldassarre didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of A.C. Patagonia booed when SPARROWS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Svetlozar Florov didn't get a good kick on the ball.
Chants of A.C. Patagonia echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as SPARROWS had held the ball for most of the match.
