All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

FC Fura Balizas were furious when Rodrigo Vilela was red carded, 58 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 58th minute, one of FC Fura Balizas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Fura Balizas. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Che Reale during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. AC Collins's Christian Cannone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Guarda in the 93rd minute of play. In the 97th match minute, FC Fura Balizas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Pires to maneuver through the defense. The score was 2-2 after 90 minutes, which forced the match into extra-time.

After resting during the break, the players from both teams went out on the field looking very concentrated. It was now first half of the overtime. FC Fura Balizas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Collins the free kick. The tension between the FC Fura Balizas and the AC Collins players grew even worse after the yellow card.
