When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Silvester Krovina sped through Luganeros AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alejo Gaspard. Isidoro Benino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Richard Kurina during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kukova United's Richard Kurina got a free kick in the 16th minute. Ermegildo Jobo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Stano Cisár tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Richard Kurina was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 22 minutes had been played. Michal Kavalec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Gaspard having to interfere. Luganeros AFC's Alejo Gaspard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrej Čistý in the 31st minute of play. Isidoro Benino charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidoro Benino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Isidoro Benino kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Alejo Gaspard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrej Čistý, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alejo Gaspard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ladislav Zemko, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
In the 51st minute, Andrej Čistý got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Andrej Čistý came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Kukova United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrej Čistý couldn't finish the play. In the 57th minute, Ermegildo Jobo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Luganeros AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Luganeros AFC's Damaso Rencio was substituted for Ermegildo Jobo. In the 63rd minute, Damaso Rencio made a precise shot to the right of Stano Cisár. Kukova United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 67th minute Damaso Rencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stano Cisár saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 78 minutes, Móric Rataj managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kukova United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Móric Rataj was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Móric Rataj hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Andrej Čistý fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Gaspard having to interfere. Stano Cisár showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damaso Rencio in the 93rd minute of the match.
The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Luganeros AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kukova United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
