The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlo Borgatello got free with Dave Clemente in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 5th minute, Carlo Borgatello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dave Clemente was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 11thth minute of the game Carlo Borgatello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Glasgow Rangers FC's Dave Clemente was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Natalucci in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sabin Pânzaru saved FC Aquile Azzurre from getting behind. The Glasgow Rangers FC fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Glasgow Rangers FC's Armando Natalucci looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sabin Pânzaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ettore Placidi in the 18th minute of play. Glasgow Rangers FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antonio Riccitelli in the 19th minute. Sabin Pânzaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ettore Placidi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Glasgow Rangers FC's Dave Clemente got control of the ball when Carlo Borgatello tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlo Borgatello scored 2-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dave Clemente, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of FC Aquile Azzurre booed when Glasgow Rangers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camillo Zacchia didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Dave Clemente managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when FC Aquile Azzurre's Carlo Borgatello fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

In the 61stth minute of the game Federico Bianco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Glasgow Rangers FC's Dave Clemente was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 62nd minute Ettore Placidi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabin Pânzaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Aquile Azzurre's Alex Buffone was substituted for Osvaldinho Queirós. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Glasgow Rangers FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alfons Bagge was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Aquile Azzurre's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Dinç Dede almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Glasgow Rangers FC's Dave Clemente did a great save. In the 71st minute, Nestor Lauaxeta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glasgow Rangers FC made a substitution. Carlo Attili replaced Armando Natalucci. In the 76thth minute of the game Dinç Dede who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Glasgow Rangers FC's Dave Clemente was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sabin Pânzaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ettore Placidi in the 90th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, FC Aquile Azzurre's goal looked a bit too open when Ettore Placidi came free, but Sabin Pânzaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the referee ended the match the FC Aquile Azzurre players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
