The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hertha 1969's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lutz Ertel in the 5th minute. A nice corner shot did that Lutz Ertel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Florencio Ferran quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 6th minute Otto-Stephan Keck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florencio Ferran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th match minute, Atlético Montserrat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. After 8th play minutes Otto-Stephan Keck shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Florencio Ferran and just under the crossbar into goal. Pepe Kißling kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Atlético Montserrat's Florencio Ferran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lutz Ertel in the 13th minute of play. After some careless play in the Atlético Montserrat defense, Lutz Ertel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Florencio Ferran. The Atlético Montserrat fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florencio Ferran should have stopped the shot. When Otto-Stephan Keck came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Hertha 1969 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Otto-Stephan Keck couldn't finish the play. 18 minutes into the match, Otto-Stephan Keck notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Atlético Montserrat's Florencio Ferran. Florencio Ferran was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Atlético Montserrat's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lutz Ertel was slow to take the kick. During this time Hertha 1969's players had a chance to rest. Florencio Ferran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lutz Ertel, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas Berasko in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christoph Heise saved Hertha 1969 from getting behind. 0-4 became the score in the 32nd minute when Otto-Stephan Keck elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Atlético Montserrat's goal looked a bit too open when Lothar Bannert came free, but Florencio Ferran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Lothar Bannert notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Atlético Montserrat's Florencio Ferran. In the 79th minute Otto-Stephan Keck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florencio Ferran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Atlético Montserrat getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Gabriel Orkatz hit a great ball. Lutz Ertel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Florencio Ferran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Atlético Montserrat's goal looked a bit too open when Otto-Stephan Keck came free, but Florencio Ferran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Atlético Montserrat's goalkeeper Florencio Ferran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nico Bell. Andi Godescheid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florencio Ferran having to interfere. Florencio Ferran came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Hertha 1969's Henrik Gorges. But to his dismay, Henrik Gorges quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. The supporters of Atlético Montserrat booed when Hertha 1969 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sascha Meinhardt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute of the match Diego Malvin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christoph Heise showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the final whistle sounded Hertha 1969 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Atlético Montserrat.
