The SK Gullegem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Urmas Känsäkangas should have stopped the shot. In the 13th match minute, SK Gullegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacky Jamieson to maneuver through the defense. SK Gullegem's Urmas Känsäkangas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Babbis Dermitzakis in the 17th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, SK Gullegem's goal looked a bit too open when Yağız Alatay came free, but Urmas Känsäkangas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Urmas Känsäkangas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.
