Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 52nd play minute Jack Saunders came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eike Pollastrini. 2-2. Cui Cheng Liang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Eike Pollastrini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Lugano made a substitution. Enéas Silva replaced Igor Linares. FC Lugano's Wincenty Kochowski was substituted for Nereo Precioso. In the 69th minute, Owen Fuerst hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Fred Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lugano's supporters rose to their feet, but Fred Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eike Pollastrini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexander Testa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eike Pollastrini having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Fred Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yusuf Ziya Cerit recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 83 minutes into the game, FC Lugano's Cui Cheng Liang nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eike Pollastrini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Eike Pollastrini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fred Lara's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Fred Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eike Pollastrini having to interfere. Klas Tingelholm was extremely unlucky when he, in the 94th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With a little luck, Ämmer Sportfreaks's Eike Pollastrini got control of the ball when Fred Lara tried to sneak it across the goal line.

FC Lugano's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
