In the 9th minute of the match Ａ Ｙ Ｉ Ｎ Ｔ Ａ Ｐ FC got a corner. LOI's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Yahya Kemal Başdaş ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ａ Ｙ Ｉ Ｎ Ｔ Ａ Ｐ FC's Egemen Kakisim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickard Thidén in the 12th minute of play. Egemen Kakisim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Babür Gürgen in the 15th minute of the match. Egemen Kakisim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rickard Thidén in the 18th minute. The audience was convinced that Ziya Sayhan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abelardo Lesardo was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. 23 minutes into the match, LOI's Rickard Thidén sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Egemen Kakisim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ａ Ｙ Ｉ Ｎ Ｔ Ａ Ｐ FC's Yahya Kemal Başdaş was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Abelardo Lesardo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Thidén in the 60th minute of play forced Ａ Ｙ Ｉ Ｎ Ｔ Ａ Ｐ FC's goalkeeper Egemen Kakisim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rickard Thidén might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egemen Kakisim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rickard Thidén ran back to his position shaking his head. 81 minutes into the match, Ａ Ｙ Ｉ Ｎ Ｔ Ａ Ｐ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rickard Thidén came free, but Egemen Kakisim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rickard Thidén in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egemen Kakisim saved Ａ Ｙ Ｉ Ｎ Ｔ Ａ Ｐ FC from getting behind. Battal Gazi Rehber kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. LOI made a substitution. Kaan Yağın replaced Faruk Bucuklu. After 89 minutes, Kaan Yağın mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LOI and the Ａ Ｙ Ｉ Ｎ Ｔ Ａ Ｐ FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th minute, Kaan Yağın hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players didn't get much rest, but they still tried to pep each other up as they lined up for the first half in overtime. LOI's Babür Gürgen started the play with his kick off. In the 104th minute, Délio Moura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 107th minute the ball was on its way in behind LOI's goalkeeper Abelardo Lesardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ａ Ｙ Ｉ Ｎ Ｔ Ａ Ｐ FC's Cai Shi Jian got a free kick in the 108th minute. After 110 played minutes LOI got a freekick which was hit by Hikmet Şafakgün. Abelardo Lesardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Délio Moura in the 113th minute of play. The LOI players wondered just what they needed to do win this one. 105 minutes had now been played and the teams were still tied. Penalties were starting to look likely.

Both teams seemed ready to fight when Ａ Ｙ Ｉ Ｎ Ｔ Ａ Ｐ FC's Délio Moura did the kick off and started the second half in the overtime. Babür Gürgen charged in rather forcefully in the 120th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Babür Gürgen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A throw-in in the 122nd minute of the game was made by Torgny Odeen with Mihnea Murgoci as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When LOI's Babür Gürgen in the 125th minute got a chance for a shot 125th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ａ Ｙ Ｉ Ｎ Ｔ Ａ Ｐ FC's goalie prevented a goal. A nice corner shot did that Hikmet Şafakgün got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Egemen Kakisim quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ａ Ｙ Ｉ Ｎ Ｔ Ａ Ｐ FC's Délio Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 128th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Egemen Kakisim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mustafa Barış Yarlık in the 131st minute of play. With neither of the teams able to find a winning goal, the match would be decided by penalties!

In the 140th minute there was a penalty for Ａ Ｙ Ｉ Ｎ Ｔ Ａ Ｐ FC. Halit Ziya Lebib stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Abelardo Lesardo. 2-2. The audience cheered when Battal Gazi Rehber's long shot passed Egemen Kakisim's right side. It was 3-2, 142 minutes into the match. In the 143rd minute there was a penalty for Ａ Ｙ Ｉ Ｎ Ｔ Ａ Ｐ FC. Cai Shi Jian stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Abelardo Lesardo. 3-3. The goalkeeper, Egemen Kakisim, was totally fooled by LOI's Ergin Çağan, who 148 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 149th minute there was a penalty for Ａ Ｙ Ｉ Ｎ Ｔ Ａ Ｐ FC. Mihnea Murgoci stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Abelardo Lesardo. 4-5. Ａ Ｙ Ｉ Ｎ Ｔ Ａ Ｐ FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
