With a little luck, G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola's Cristiano Bucciarelli got control of the ball when Cao Xi Kuan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Palermo AFC's Primitivo Jeraldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Goiz in the 29th minute of play. A hard shot by Siro Galo from long distance, 38 minutes into the match, got Cristiano Bucciarelli's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 40 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Bautista had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristiano Bucciarelli. G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodrigo Bautista was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Primitivo Jeraldo made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Donato Goiz sent off a good shot on target. Palermo AFC's Severo Leheren quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Valerio Lorenzi, made in the 58th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donato Goiz in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Primitivo Jeraldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 68th minute Cao Xi Kuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Bucciarelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Donato Goiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Palermo AFC's Jesus Dalmu was substituted for Egon Lätte. G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola's Alvaro Nobile was substituted for Rafael Leão. G.S. Primitivo Jeraldo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donato Goiz got free with Primitivo Jeraldo in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 95 minutes, Donato Goiz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Goiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
