Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's Hu Jian Zhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hao Zhan Ping in the 12th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Bon Čáp kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hu Jian Zhan. That made the score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. Filip Soetemans scored 1-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thommy Jadis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. MINEIROS's Thommy Jadis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Lauaxeta in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute Bon Čáp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hu Jian Zhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hu Jian Zhan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bon Čáp showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 30 minute of play. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's goalkeeper Hu Jian Zhan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. MINEIROS were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ricardo Custódio took the corner. When Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's Henrik Henriksson in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MINEIROS's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's Sigvard Åkesson got a free kick in the 46th minute. In the 47th play minute Ricardo Custódio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Hu Jian Zhan. 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Filip Soetemans to strike the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's goal looked a bit too open when Bon Čáp came free, but Hu Jian Zhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute of the match MINEIROS got a corner. Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ricardo Custódio ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on MINEIROS's corner Ricardo Custódio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hu Jian Zhan quite easily take care of the ball. Hu Jian Zhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bon Čáp, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Hu Jian Zhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bon Čáp in the 64th minute of play. Bon Čáp took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hu Jian Zhan. Hu Jian Zhan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. MINEIROS's Humberto Severo was substituted for Clóvis Rezende. MINEIROS made a substitution. Mário Maradona replaced Bon Čáp. Ronny Rau made in the 75th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by MINEIROS's Hao Zhan Ping. Mário Maradona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hu Jian Zhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Maradona in the 76th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Mário Maradona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hu Jian Zhan was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. MINEIROS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
